A pause. A refuel. A little care before you head back in. Half Time Oranges is a warm, judgement-free therapy practice for the things that are hardest to talk about — sex, intimacy, and the relationships that matter most.
If you ever played sport as a kid, you might remember it: half time, out of breath, and someone hands round a plate of orange slices. A tiny act of care. A pause to catch your breath, take stock, and refuel — before heading back out to play the second half.
That’s what therapy is here. Not a sign that something is broken. Not something to be embarrassed about. Just a deliberate pause in the middle of the game — with someone in your corner — so you can go back in feeling more like yourself.
Sex and intimacy are hard to talk about. That’s exactly why we made a place where it’s easy.
What we help with
Whatever brings you here, you won’t surprise us.
There is no “too small” and no “too awkward”. These are some of the things clients bring to us — and if yours isn’t on the list, it still belongs in the room.
Differences in desire between partners
Painful sex, or sex that has stopped feeling possible
Erection, arousal and orgasm worries
Intimacy after parenthood, illness or menopause
Rebuilding trust after an affair
Exploring sexuality, gender and identity
Opening up a relationship, and non-monogamy
Feeling more like flatmates than partners
Shame, anxiety or avoidance around sex
Sessions are available for individuals and for couples or relationship groups — whoever the “us” is, you’re welcome to bring them.
For every body, every love
All of you is welcome here.
We work with people of every gender, sexuality, body and background — LGBTQ+ clients, straight clients, questioning clients; monogamous couples, open relationships, polycules, and people flying solo.
You will never have to explain or justify who you are before we can get to what you came for. That part is a given.
